Dylan Coverdale, otherwise known as "sweetboy tattoos", a tattoo artist in philadelphia pennsylvania

About Me

Hey! I’m Dylan, I’ve been tattooing since 2020 in the greater Philadelphia area. I specialize in precise black and gray tattooing, ranging from fineline realism to bold traditional inspired pieces. I love copying classic realism paintings, rendering portraits, objects, animals and flowers. However, all styles are welcome to apply.

I recently worked at my first international convention in Bruge, Belgium! I’m excited for what the future has in store.

PROCESS

I understand that tattooing can feel like a daunting experience! It’s important to me that you feel welcomed, relaxed, and comfortable with the process. I strive to be as informational as possible, and accessible for whatever questions you may have.

PERSONAL

In my free time, I study classical realism drawing and painting. I play a few instruments, and release music under my name, which you can find below.

I also enjoy filmmaking; shooting and directing my own short films, as well as film photography.

I recently began training in Jiu Jitsu, which has been an incredibly rewarding experience.

FAQ

Where are you located?

Crown & Feather Tattoo Co., at 2628 Martha St. in Philadelphia.

How much will my tattoo cost?

I have a $200 minimum. The price of your tattoo is dependent on the size, placement, detail, & design, but I typically work at 200/hr, with a discounted rate for flash.

Can I get tattooed if I'm not 18?

Unfortunately I cannot tattoo anyone under 18, even with parental consent.

Do you take last minute appointments or walk-ins?

I’m currently appointment only. Fill out the contact form in order to book and I’ll get back to you ASAP! If you subscribe to my mailing list, I’ll send out any last minute openings I may have.

How can I pay?

Cash is preferred, but venmo works as well. I don’t typically accept card payments. There is not an ATM in the building.

Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?

We allow a maximum of one guest in the studio, although unless it is necessary I would prefer clients to come alone in order to limit distraction.

How big should my tattoo be?

I typically don’t do tattoos smaller than palm sized. Ink is going to spread/fade as the years go on, so usually a design has to be a certain size in order for it to last.Generally speaking, the bigger and bolder a tattoo is, the more it holds up. I use high contrast, and a high level of saturation, and a thoughtful approach to get the most out of the work I provide.

Do you repeat flash?

I do not ever repeat flash designs, and I enjoy the idea that every tattoo is unique.
